Here is another #adventurewednesday goodie coming from one of the most near and dear places in my heart.. Kenya and more specifically the Masaai Mara. The Maasai Mara is a large game reserve shared by both Kenya and Tanzania and is one of the most magical places on earth. One can expect to see some beautiful wildlife including cheetahs, lions, zebras, wildebeests and sunsets galore! I decided to post a photo of an actual Maasai since I feel like they are as equally unique and special.
The Maasai are semi nomadic and move around herding goats and cattle but carry no more then a rungu to ward of lions and other predators from their stock. A rungu is just a stick with a knob on the end made of out the local acacia tree. The normal normal daily diet consists of goat milk mixed with goat blood. Yeah that’s it. Breakfast lunch and dinner. They will eat goats meat about once a week but that is all. You wonder how they keep their sleek and slim frame? Simple, quiet and fearless is the life of a Maasai. I highly recommend taking the trip to visit Kenya for the chance to meet a real Maasai. You will not be disappointed! Until next time Happy travels!
Absolutely beautiful. Kenya is somewhere I long to visit!
